Autistic spectrum syndromes
What are Autism Spectrum Disorders?
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) also known as Spreading Developmental Disorders (PDD) causes severe and spreading disabilities into thinking, the emotional plane, language functions, and the ability to relate to others appropriately. These disorders are usually diagnosed in early childhood. The range of disorders ranges from severe, so-called autistic disorders, through infiltrative developmental disorder that has no specific classification (PDD-NOS to the most moderate form, is Asperger's Syndrome. Autism spectrum disorders also include two rare syndromes: Rett syndrome, and parental disintegrative disorder). The first signs of dysfunction may also appear in children who have developed normally in infancy. When a baby is nice and full. Haim suddenly becomes silent, withdrawn, self-abusive, or indifferent to social gestures, something is wrong.
Treatment
There is no single 'treatment package' that is the best of all for all children with ASD. Decisions about the preferred treatment, or different treatment combinations, should be made by the parents with the help of an expert and professional diagnostic team.
